orpheus reloaded

The backwards look, which is a key factor in the antique drama of orpheus and eurydice, serves as foundation for this installation. The recipient enters a room inside which an abstract videoloop is projected and finds himself confronted with his own curiosity - as soon as he turns away from the screen, the real installation begins to unfold visually as well as acoustically.

For the technical implementation: The cap-interface contains a magnetical orientation sensor which is hooked up to a wireless kroonde sensor interface. Scaling and mapping of the raw sensor data is done in Max/MSP. The resulting information is then transferred via OSC to yet another computer to control jitter which provides the final projection.
