Brand new joint from one of my most favourite Indie HipHop Groups called "Global Platoon" from Baltimore (Sparrow The Movement, Constant Deviants, Rome affiliated). First off their new joint "Mighty Global" feat. M.I, Steve Colossal and Rome - a beautiful melancholic-apocalyptic crate with three great features over a deep, nice and catchy instrumental based on a "The Sylvers" sample. "Who cares what i say, it's the media wordplay."

After that my - also due to the lyrics - so far personal "Global Platoon" fav "Crew Family" that you might know from one of my mixtapes anyway. But in consideration of the fact, that several years are in between those releases i wanted to post both to show the difference ... "I do for you, you do for me; we do for we - crew family" - seems like the crew stuck together or found back together again - i don't know - but they're bringing some news and archived material aswell and i'm diggin it!

This is actually a preview to the FREE DOWNLOAD that we are giving away .The new album is gonna be INCREDIBLE ... titled 'G20 SUMMIT' looks like it may be released this fall after the CONSTANT LP's and SPARROW . Thanks again

Set Rule himself; pleasure :) yep, really love what you're doing here and how. As far as i can say - from you responding to my order mails last year, sending news, uploading new tracks on youtube and writing and answering in forums - you guys seem to be very well organized and willing to hit the shit! really like that and it has to be supported! the rare baltimore sales were to expensive for me although the silhouette records made me slaver :D
plus I love you guys attitude not to release the archived material for like 70€ or more but for a reasonable price regarding the edition ... it reminds me of the "Letter to the fans" about collectors prices, artists, ... that "Fla Fla from Sparrow" wrote on your blog some time ago

for all of you that dont' know. the "physics/rhyme impotence" 12inch is a very rare and looked after 12inch in record collector's circles. 300 - 500$ are being paid for it according to sales on discogs. money from which the artists don't see anything at all.

The digging community will ACTUALLY determine if EVER our 150 records will even hit the market. And it is not even 150! There are a few people that we owe favors. These are OUR records. 350 records are yours. This way we finally control our OWN expression. We only ask that you support us as you always have. We are not trying to pay mortgages or whatever you are saying. We are Sparrow The Movement. We are at the ground floor of a MOVEMENT. We want to be able to continue to do this. We are torchbearers of a music that a lot of us in this country (USA)have forgotten.]

the "problem" is the same as in art or other speculative ""businesses"". painters or artists for example that had no money to pay their rent in their early creative period traded artworks ... which after years are (in some cases) sold for thousands of euros - from which (again) the artist doesn't see anything... so i totally understand you guys approach of holding some copies back, cause if you would sell all of them it would probably be the same again in some time ... and even IF you want to sell them later. why shouldn't you?! definitely better than selling represses for originals :D

Lens my friend the pleasure is all mine .Without the fans and listeners we are nobody!
Staying connected is what drives friendships and communication is what we are all about. We are grateful to have support in various parts of the world.At the end of the day if we only have 5 listeners in Vienna etc. we will feel honored to reach someones mind. btw i added your site to our blog list .You should get a little traffic from that hopefully . yep ... that's one of the positive things on the internet. the possibility to find likeminded people all over the world - and to have the possibility to get out of that underground, where people are strictly producing or releasing for their immediate circle of people. in the end of the 90ties it was merely impossible to hear or get records from you guys in austria. now it got a little bit easier do digg stuff out - with some effort of course, but still!

i'm goin to link you up in our friends section too. peace to baltimore and you keep me updated on news via mail anyway ;) looking forward to your future releases. so long,
