Our dear friend and Ford Brother Sebastian Brameshuber has spend the last couple of years creating a very delicate full-feature documentary about the muezzin in Turkey. It's an in-depth view on the work and art of chanting the ezan, the call to prayer, and the corresponding annual muezzin competition, whose background is often misinterpreted and sometimes remains a mystery to the outsider, even within Turkey. This feature does a very good job in sheding some light on this often overlooked artform and does so without ever being judgmental.
