i'd like to let you know about a really nice instrumental album called "Basementality" by "Booka B". With his kind permission i feel free to share it (.zip) with you. The album is basically an instrumental one but it also features three nice vocal tracks (with Slug from "Atmosphere", Eyedea from "E&A" and Carnage from "Ill Chemistry"). It goes into an Epstein, DDay One, Project Mooncircle or Twenty Four Seven Records direction with heavy and slightly experimental beats, nice scratchings and beautiful weird stings. (Little dub influence not excluded). All of you that like that kind of stuff, will also love this album. LENSon's heavy rotation. He's also a painter, so make sure you keep checking him out on the web. I will also keep u posted on news:

something else you should have heard at least "once". cause a lot of hiphop heads dont even know, that there was a rascalz album before the "cash crop" in '96. this is it: "really livin" from back in '93. even if you want to buy it nowadays, you won't find it. the LP is ultra, ultrarare. one doesn't even find a cd or mp3s to purchase. so, what i think: we should not let it disappear in the depths of hiphop history, but listen to it. canadian hiphop at its finest!

Hey- just wanted to say it's pretty cool that you're recognizing a friend of mine- Adam- aka: Booka B. He rocks. We met quite a few years ago and he's been pretty loyal to his music and art- so it's pleasing to know that there are people out there listening.

yepp!" it's dope!!! i love it and i'm curious, whats coming up :) i wrote with him a little bit and he's really nice. there will be an exhibition soon with his stuff as far as i have seen from his pics. good to see, there are people recognizing what we all do. diggin it. word!!!!!
