i´ve ever seen in my life! Brilliant! The amen break lives! Its an old story but nevertheless it is still exciting enough to think about it once again.

there's definitely still a lot to learn ... maybe 4 music industry too ... sampling should not be a crime, although people like the producer of the "amen break" should get a piece of the cake. so many different styles of music developed out of 6 seconds of "amen". if there would have been a copyright like ours on that one back in '69, musical range would probably be different nowadays! wouldn't that be bad and boring?! no jungle, no breakbeat, ... same with mash-ups! some tracks that are mashed-up had no club context if they would not be mashed up! who would play just for example nirvana "smells like teen spirit" in its original version in a dance-club! i wouldn't or probably i would: for the hook line! instead of being "forgotten", songs like that get "airtime" again! i think that would be good for music industry to, to realize, that money shouldn't be the reason for killing the developement of electronic music, although there is more than sampling to produce it! the amen break lives, in another way and in my opinion, that's the point. (due to the loop, ...).
things like the jungle drum kid from 2002 thats just the same as the amen break are nothing new!! its just fuckin everything up! if someone would take one of my photos, creating something new, i would accept that! but if he would just take it and add another name, i would be bored!!!! peace!!
