Rotaug Blog

First off, if you do not have a clue what I'm getting at here, be advised, there's a thing out there called Wikipedia which tells you things - like THESE.

Having clarified that, we are proud to announce a free release called KSO 10 (Trees), a collaboration effort between DJ Kompact and renown Brooklyn rap-artist Cerebral Vortex. It's a quite explicit ode to the high life and also a teaser to the forthcoming KORG DS-10 project EP by Kompact called One Week.

So, without further ado, you can either download it directly from this site:

...or obtain the release in every imaginable format from the brand new and shiny

BANDCAMP SITE.

Enjoy! Spread the word and drop a comment every now and then ;)

ELEVATE!

i am here to welcome 2010 with the no_06 of my "untitled in case" series. instant photographs of the urban space, it's function, architecture and mystic.
this time i have chosen to work with an already existing loop-based piece of music called "hold up" by rotaug's very own dj kompact.
on the paint: kryot. reflecting his surroundings - a savaged drainage ditch in the suburb of vienna. enjoy and sry for the wait. no_07 is coming soon.

untitled_in_case_no_06 (project site). the "view video" button is on the upper left side. enjoy.

also don't miss my new and massively updated website. now including texts to most of my works in english and german. still beta, but ?? worth the click.

Out now on Sonido Ojo Rojo and soon in your favourite recordstore...

SOR004 7INCH VINYL DJ KOMPACT w/ 215 THE FRESHEST KIDZ - ILLUMINATE / DON´T FOLLOW ... Further continuing the five piece 7” single series that started with SOR002 Return Of July by Rotaug's own Kompact, this release once again comes with a digital download card and a postercover that waits to be combined with the preceding and the three releases yet to come to result in a final 180x84 cm full-size poster...

FOR DETAILS CHECK
THE RELEASE PAGE

As you might have noticed already, Sonido Ojo Rojo stands for quality tunes but is far from being a major with a 500+ people staff. Handmade quality takes time, that's why we want to apologize for any delays and give you a little update of what's going on right now:
SOR004 DJ Kompact - Illuminate 7" is in its final stages of production and we've updated the Releases page accordingly so you can prelisten to the tracks. Pre-ordering is open now via email or later this month via hhv.de or juno.co.uk.

Stay tuned for this one!

Now to something different: Most of you might already know it, it's one of my personal favorite mixes named Blunted in the Bomb Shelter by Madlib. It's a  truly blunted mix of 45 Trojan releases and available to download for free now. Get the whole story behind this gem and the files at the Rappcats Blog.

Peace.

All drama comes to an end! After years of work on the new site, we finally made it.

Here it is: The new www.rotaug.com

Filled with loads of projects collected over the last year we're proud to present the first major release of rotaug.com. Believe me it was not easy to find a way to produce a website fitting the needs of artists of so many different genres, but somehow we figured it out.

Enjoy!!!
