I am proud to announce, that I am participating in the JCE group exhibition - Opening on October 14th!! If anyone is in Paris around that time, I would be happy to see some familiar faces!!!

I will be showing a new, revised form of my work "Kompressions Artefakte". If you take a look at the project page of "Kompressions Artefakte", you can get a feeling about the changes I made - wooden, bigger and finally playable!!!

Along the way through my artist profile, you can take a look at my newly updated projects :-)!

At last, I want to invite you to take a look at the JCE homepage. JCE is a great network wich gives young artists the possibility to be a part of a big travelling exhibition. This exhibition, for example, will travel for two years - from France to Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Italy & to finally end in Spain.

In my opinion, it is a really great thing this network is doing for young artists, so check it out and perhaps you will be participating in it in future exhibition!!!

Recommendation: The Doppelgangaz - Lone Sharks Vinyl

A lot of things happened over the last weeks and it probably seemed like i have been in hiding; but wrOOOOng, I have been mixtapeing (coming soon) and in a status of employee's illness. However; it now IS time to announce the upcoming release of one of my 2011 most favourite albums called "Lone Sharks" by "The Doppelgangaz" aka Matter ov Fact & EP. Unagitated, flawless and flowing raps over deep smooth atmospheric jazzy and bouncing instrumentals! It couldn't hit my nerves more precisely actually. The album has been released digitally and on CD at the end of June. I of course had to immediately ask if; when there will be a vinyl release. Now here it is: "Uuuuuup and coming" beginning of September. I'm sure it was not because of my heavy commenting on the videos calling for wAAAAAAAAx :D but anyways: "i'm looking forward to it". Check the video, shot in a spooky house in Goshen, Indiana, where serial killer "Nathaniel White" burried some of his victims. Great track!

Also coming beginning of September: All that missed out on the 2001 "From Artz Unknown" debut LP by Kankick; NOw is your chance. It's going to be re-issued as 3LP including a bonus instrumental LP. Don't sleep on that one; my 2001 original goes for 130€. What else is there to come? The "Will Sessions - The Elmatic Instrumentals". Yeah. The instrumentals :) plus my friend Lex de Kalhex did let me know that the Kalhex LP will be released on wax too together with hhv last quarter of the year. Peace! Go-like simplicism seems to be the philosophy that prevails in the domain of digital live controllers. anyhow...

mlrv:
...works on grid-based music contollers like the monome, livid ohm/block, novation launchpad, and akai apc/mpd. the software allows a sound file or live recording to be mapped across each row and assigned a triggering behavior.
Within this simple set of constraints and a complete MIDI + OSC remote control system, the performer of electronic music can be freed from the laptop, and at the very least appear to be doing something interesting.

further it is:
open source software, free to download and use. if you like it and find it becoming a part of your musical process (like we have), we ask that you consider contributing to its further development by purchasing a +supporter or +benefactor license...

The artists in the videos below are altitude sickness and galapagoose, both working on mlrv 2.0.

This one has been around for quite a while now, and now that we got a load of webspace to waste, I figure it's the right time for it to see the light of day: I'm talking about our next featured mix (#03 I believe it is) by DJ HNZN, who has helped us out a lot of times technically and sound-support-wise. It's called oimsee 2k10 - a quite long and very eclectic kinda mix with all sorts of genres being mashed together, just the way we would get down ourselves! Get it here:

Last but not least, another little goodie I recently came across and wanted to share but couldn't, due to our server failure. It is a mini-documentary of a very innovative label, to say the least, that was founded by Peanutbutter Wolf back in '96 and brought you gems like Lootpack, Charizma, Medaphoar, Yesterday's New Quintet and many more. It is also the label that recently made some solid commercial success with Aloe Blacc's "Good Things". Needless to say, I'm talking about Stones Throw which is covered in this short. The movie was made by Sébastien Bauer & Lucas Blaya and I personally hope that this will turn out to become a full-length any time soon.
