REGGAE BAR BANGKOK

Searchin for a fine hangout spot in the busy city of angels? In a sidestreet of the infamous Khao San Road there´s a nice little bar simply called "The Reggae Bar".

Cheap drinks, fine music from dub to roots reggae to dancehall to hiphop mixed by DJ Chicken and friends (if you lucky enough, you might even find some of our very own Rotaug DJs playin...) plus sometimes livesession with MCs, a funny little pooltable and latest footie games on beamer provide a perfect backdrop for a smooth mix of travellers and local reggae lovers...

Say hello to Mr. Chicken aka Kai and his wife Kob and enjoy the fine atmosphere round here...1L to each and everyone...

Check reggaebarbangkok.com

... and spinnin' i want to introduce you to another outstanding and (for me) until now unknown artist straight outta L.A's underground hip hop scene. if you like deep heavy and spheric hiphop instrumentals go check on "Kegs One". I would like to point out two former releases. His "as fate would have it EP" (2009) with Jeff Jabz on red vinyl and his "the harsh reality EP" (2008) on green vinyl (limited to 225 copies coming with a dvd and tshirt). also check discogs for his releases!

have fun, buy records and support artists. they're not living from hand to mouth. peace - da lens.

One for all you vinyl aficionados:

45s too...

"Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of record covers from the golden age of LPs"

Enjoy...

Long time no project I thought and got to renewing stuff you might already know and adding things you most definitely don't....

As you can see in the column above, I posted a project from 2008 called "Mode X", which is a 50 minute video installation playing with the concept of ripping the meaning from retro video games. Check it out here...

Also, I've finally updated the documentation of my 2007 gem "Yeah, Yeah, The Birds", an audio installation dealing with feedback and reflection in architectural space. Check it out here...

Last but not least, I've completed part of my photo series "This Is Tunnel Vision!", which, as the name already suggests deals with tunnel architecture and its decontextualisation. Part 2 here and Part 3 here...

Enjoy!

And don't forget to head out to Florido Independent Beach Today and Tomorrow for some action featuring Mr. Wisdom, Sweet Susie, Cut-ex, Lens J. and so forth....
