Rotaug Blog

If you´re in Vienna right now and looking for an entertaining way to take your mind off all the pre-christmas hassle, this little event might be just the thing for you: Some of the finest and funniest Austrian poetry-slammers (Markus Köhle, Andi Pianka, Christian Schreibmüller and Lale Rodgarkia-Dara among others) will be reading tonight at the presentation of "Rollen & Bilder", the 12th issue of rotaug-affiliated literature magazine "& Radieschen" (cover and layout by yours truly),

starting at 8pm at Café Anno,
Lerchenfelderstraße 132, 1080 Wien.

If you can´t make it but would care for some witty holiday reading material, or are still looking for an original present for that literature-crazy friend of yours, you can also order the magazine or request a one-year subscription to get the current as well as the next 3 issues (for € 3.50 each) by sending an e-mail to redaktion (at) radieschen.at.

after some busy time i was really looking forward to put a new mixtape together. its called "don't let this rapshit fool ya" named after the first track by blahzay blahzay. i posted the A-side a while ago and now it was ment to be joined by the B-side. both of them a mixture of some of my alltime favourites and other tracks that joined them recently. from dilated peoples, souls of mischief to dday one, the rza, madlib, chochlair, grav, apani b, melomaniac, masta ace, ... and dcs.

and there is a recording of last weekends digital konfusion mixshow, where i tried to give the minority sounds a little bit of airtime. quarta 330, disrupt, g.corp, akira kiteshi, and so on. from dubby dubstep to dubstep and 8-bit a like.

dear friends. as i found a short timegap i decided to work over my personal website lens.rotaug.com, changed the typo size, updated the news, recents, photography, shortfilm, cv and links section and made some slight changes in the navigation. still not everything done, but it takes a while to get through the betaversion anyway. i wanna hear some critique or proposals how i could make things better to navigate or use. greets bros and sisters. "two thousand and nine" in full effect ... enjoy

lens digitalized one of the most important milestones in ROTAUG HISTORY. the rotaug mixtape #1 called

"ICHIBAN" by DJ CRAAK

which means: the first time our name ROTAUG was officially written on something concrete - like the tape cover of this strictly limited edition of 30 tapes - and since then stands for our connection of friends sharing the same artistic interests.

listen to a part of our musical roots.

the sounds of the beatnuts, masterminds, mos def, dj honda, ..., pete rock and some extreme scratchin and juggeling by dj craak back in 1999.
