This time I would like to introduce you to Eric Lau. A commonly rather unknown beatmaker from London even though he has already produced for Dudley Perkins, J Dilla and Guilty Simpson. So if you didn't know about him before: now you do!
His new LP "Makin' Sound" is what i would call a laid-back (but still funky) instrumental classic with very well selected samples, chords and layers. Here is one track of the album ("cruise control") for your daily tram-ride listening pleasure (FREE download). This 12inch is very limited, so grab it as long as you can! And don't forget about the Dday One/Glen Porter Split!
