"ATLANTIKWALL"

it features a selection of photographs of the atlantik wall around cap ferret. those coastal fortifications were "built" by adolf hitler from 1942 to 44 along the western coast of europe, to defend the german third reich against the western allies.

one topic of this workgroup is to show, how this former bunkers and batteries developed to a kind of "black board" for people, to express themselves. and how the appearance of their surface changes every year. during autumn and winter lots of history is peeled and washed away by sand and sea, as parts of those monumental signs of time are too ... new stories are ment to be written every year. be sure i will continue documenting them ...

untitled_in_case_no_1 by markus oberndorfer also known as rotaugs very own "lens", was finally encoded in its full HD cinema resolution and is going to be the supporting film of a special documentary program of docuzone austria.

the main film - "china blue" by micha x. peled - tells the story of a 16 year old girl that is a factory worker in shaxi, one of the new growing industrial towns of south china, where products are mainly produced for the north-american and european market. jasmin's working day starts at 8am and ends at about 3am. her monthly income is 60 euros, minus food, accommodation and warm water, put to her disposal by the fabrics owner. no employers' contribution included ... to make sure.

film screenings start at september 13th 2006 and make a hold in eleven cinemas across austria. for more information about the film and featured cinemas, visit docuzone.at. would be nice to see some of you around.

after the fourth and "last" show at "veilchen forum stadtpark" i would say, that we can be proud on us! we really did a very, very good job my friends. props to the allmighty kompact for his amazing ableton live set, colorcoded for his video presentation and vj skills, gandl for helping out with vjing, exidas for taking the chance to vocally guide us through the nights and spinning great tunes as well as kompact, lemon and me myself and i, mr lens, have done (i'm sorry for this self-importance). thank you for taking some pictures as a sign of the times. not to mention our memories, that could never be captured in thousands of pictures.

i feel really sorry for all, that didn't make it,

but i thank all of you that were there supporting us,

one we are one, lightning and thunderstorm!
