******************************************************************************

This has been out for quite a while now, but it's a sureshot nevertheless, especially for all the dub(step)heads out there, so I don't want to keep this from you. It's a free EP I found via bassmusicblog.com called Meditate & Relate by Mr. Jinx in Dub featuring our dear friend and top-notch lyricist Rider Shafique. They're on some dubbed out, doubletime rhyming, sub-sub-sub-bass ishh! The EP also features a remix by Alien Entertainment. Again, it's FREE - check it out HERE. (and while you're at it, you can check the rest of the free goodies from bassmusic there - definitely worth it!)

This should also prepare you a bit for our next MashMash! madness, which will feature no other than the MC I already mentioned above - Rider Shafique! Further, HNZN from A Journey Into Sound! will bless us with his talent and will surely make your body rock, alongside Exidas and myself! Yes indeeed!

Finally, the new collection from SO LCH LD CLOTHING, a label specialized in strictly one off unique pieces by Rotaug´s very own TINI, has just arrived. Unique clothes at an unbeatable price. Dresses inspired by the style of the 1940s, fine blazers, overalls, leather and fabric bags, a variety of necklaces, rings and bracelets! Also a fine selection of cool shirts for men by young bangkok-based designers!

Interested? Just drop Tini a E-Mail or get in contact with her via facebook, come over and get yours... But remember, as each piece is unique, don´t sleep on this!

May the soul be with you...

!!! TALES !!! OF !!! INTEREST !!!

You've already heard what mister Lens J. himself has brought to you for his Rhythm Incursions guestmix, and after quite a long time without doing a mixtape I got back on the decks in my livingroom to create the second part in this series called "Tales Of Interest". Some old favorites mixed with (more or less) current stuff, including, but not limited to: P.B.W., P.U.T.S., Vertual Vertigo, Suff Daddy, J Dilla etc. - a variety of styles that interest me at the moment as the title already suggests.

Download the mix over at rhythm-incursions.com or even better, dig their RSS feed here, it is definitely worth it!

Thanks go out to Lens J. and Dday One for making this one happen!

Peace.

"The Misappropriation Of Hip-Hop" is a book by legendary UK Hip-Hop DJ & Producer Karl Gibson AKA DJ Fingers of the Sindecut.

This book is intended to find answers to a question that has persistently recurred in the conversations of Hip-Hop aficionados. That is, whether Hip-Hop has been misappropriated.

"Karl Gibson has captured the very essence of the meaning of Hip-Hop in this long awaited but extremely refreshing book...." However, the book is finally (5/2010) avaliable from Amazon & available to order from all good bookshops.

Also check dj kompact's post about the project from late 2009.

The Works wil be shown from
June 11th till Sept 24th 2010

Our dear friend and Ford Brother Sebastian Brameshuber has spend the last couple of years creating a very delicate full-feature documentary about the muezzin in Turkey. It's an in-depth view on the work and art of chanting the ezan, the call to prayer, and the corresponding annual muezzin competition, whose background is often misinterpreted and sometimes remains a mystery to the outsider, even within Turkey. This feature does a very good job in sheding some light on this often overlooked artform and does so without ever being judgmental. After being invited to some renowned film festivals this year and last, Muezzin finally hits the box office starting June 18th. Here's the trailer to give you a hint of what to expect:

First off, if you do not have a clue what I'm getting at here, be advised, there's a thing out there called Wikipedia which tells you things - like THESE.

Having clarified that, we are proud to announce a free release called KSO 10 (Trees), a collaboration effort between DJ Kompact and renown Brooklyn rap-artist Cerebral Vortex. It's a quite explicit ode to the high life and also a teaser to the forthcoming KORG DS-10 project EP by Kompact called One Week.

So, without further ado, you can either download it directly from this site:
