is a British record label, that is introducing fans of psychedelic / jazz / folk / funk / avant-garde and whacked-out movie musak to a lost world of undiscovered vinyl artifacts from the annals of alternative pop history. you will find single artist releases like Ersen - Ersen (turkish psychodelic rock - also appearing on the bully records compilation "Obsession" i wrote a post on sometime ago), Daisies (Soundtrack to Vera Chytilova's groundbreaking sixties Czech new wave classic), Selda - Selda (turkish anatolian invasion), Susan Christie - Paint a Lady or special compilations like the "Welsh Rare Beat 2" (a selection of 20 vintage slices fo Cymraeg Soft sych and Welsh kosmic pop curated by Andy Votel, Dominic Thomas and Gruff Rhys). David Holmes seems to be diggin it ;) have fun with it. weird music. i like!!

As you have all already listened to my new mixtape "calling all massive elk vol. 01" and the Dubmood "shook ones edit" (old site) on it, i can post, what i already wanted and should have posted some months ago, when i stumbled upon it. Another great Dubmood (new site) release on Jahtari Records. "Atari-Ska L'Atakk" is an EP with Chip-Dub-Ska edits of Skatalites "Exodus", "Kick De Bucket", "Monkey Island", The Maytals "Pressure Drop", "VodSka-Dance and "Dbug CD197" (two of my favourites). get yourself more information about this dope Netlabel (they are also releasing vinyl) here (Jahtari Website) and download the ep there (DOWNLOAD LINK). it's really funny music. something you can dance to ...

MASE ( Multi Angle Surround Engine) is a new sound system, developed by Muzieklab Brabant, that offers dance-artists and DJs the possibility of manipulating sound source placement...
This new system allows artists to determine spatial placement and movement of sound sources in real time...
The interface offers DJs or producers eight independent audio inputs and a library of sound movements. The user has ample options for assigning a trajectory to an incoming audio signal and to start, stop or localise this. (text taken from masesystem.com)

lens j. and dj kompact decided to work togehter in a project they call "Obahuba" aka "Oberndorfer - Kassmannhuber". prepare for the first 12inch release "hart und zart" with two beautiful deep minimal bangers. one straight side. one dubby side. out soon and released on sonido ojo rojo! more information on that, when time's right. listen and make sure you're wearing headphones ... minimeeeeeschan troughout the neeeeeeschan!

Video for one of my absolute favourite producers over the last years, who asked me if i could imagine, doin something like my films for one of his new album tracks. so i tried to make a mixture of both (film and musicvideo). what you can read and see on the projects site is what came into my mind! hope you like it. VIEW VIDEO.

DDay One - based in L.A. - appears on content label, p-vine, styge records and project mooncircle and his new album is called "heavy migration", available on 2LP and CD. if you need more information on that: i wrote a review on it some time ago. Save the Vinyl! Support the artists!
