i'm proud to announce that my work "Disappearance - The Atlantic Wall around Cap Ferret" will be shown at this International Atlantikwall Expert Meeting in Amersfoort (NL) on September 2nd and 3rd. The meeting is supported by the War Heritage Programme of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, National Office for Cultural Heritage, the Province of Zeeland, and in collaboration with Bureau Lopende Zaken and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. It is taking place in the Dutch State Service for Cultural Heritage. Work of different architects and artists concerning the Atlantic Wall or more generally concerning bunkers will be shown. Contributors and visitors of the symposium can refer to the work during lectures or discussions. "It is great to have your work as a visual and auditive comment on the concrete bunkers in the smallest and cultural heritage in the broadest sence ..."

please find my the (new) project website here. it is still under construction, but the german and english versions of the texts (the french will follow soon) and all former footage are online.

if you didn't read it in my blogpost earlier this year... Kanzulu aka KanKick (late 4th member of Lootpack) finally dropped his new full length "full-time work, part-time pay" in august (online) --- "for the slow folks out there, no offense" as he mentioned :)

after listenin to it several times over the last weeks - make sure you you do the same, cause it's a little bit more conceptual and weird than the ones before - i take the liberty to say: anotha killlaaaah release for example featuring a beautiful track by "nonameko" (i had to point that one out) or Cornbread - stop sleeping on these folks fam: "stoned is the way of the walk" ... and sry for no links, but you've got to choose your download weapon on your own. "I'm workin on physical releases" he said and maybe we'll hear more later this year, we'll see. enjoy, lens

"The Misappropriation Of Hip-Hop" is a book by legendary UK Hip-Hop DJ & Producer Karl Gibson AKA DJ Fingers of the Sindecut.

This book is intended to find answers to a question that has persistently recurred in the conversations of Hip-Hop aficionados. That is, whether Hip-Hop has been misappropriated.

"Karl Gibson has captured the very essence of the meaning of Hip-Hop in this long awaited but extremely refreshing book...." However, the book is finally (5/2010) avaliable from Amazon & available to order from all good bookshops.

Also check dj kompact's post about the project from late 2009.

It's an honor to be announcing an important part in austrian mixtape history, now conserved in digital form: Full Of Flavour by long-time-back-in-the-days Rotaug friend Nuszknacker a.k.a. Old-Shepperhand. More than 10 years old now, this tape features some of my favorite tracks, including The Fantastic Four's You're In The Wrong Place or I'm Coming by T-Love and an abolutely crazy Freestyle by MC Serch. This brings back some good memories! Nuff said - GET IT!!! Nutcracker Yo!

just lately I stumbled over a very talented young producer from tokyo named "Bugseed". And after listening to his album "bohemian beatnick" several times - or let's better say in heavy rotation - I would take the liberty to say: laid back instrumental dopeness in here. A mixture of mellow jazzy boom-bapish instrumental beats that can not deny coming from japan, reminding me a little bit of the samurai champloo soundtrack (produced by nujabes, fat jon, tsuchi and force of nature). if there would ever be a new episode of it I warmly recommended them to let him produce some tracks. I will feature two on my upcoming "rhythm-incursions" 30min guest mix and make sure, I wouldn't do that, if I would not really digg it!!

What else is to be said, but: SUPPORT artists and buy their releases, so that they can keep doin what they do!! Supply us with the music we love! I'm really wondering what's "Bugseed's next" ... enjoy! bandcamp // myspace
