Célia Mara is an engaging front woman, giving her soul to the audience - dancing, grooving, entertaining. She never fails to impress with her strong voice, the amazing vocal improvisations, which she quickly switches over to beat boxing and sometimes even ascend to trumpet solos. She plays her acoustic guitar with glamour, Brazilian rhythm and fun.
As a songwriter, Célia Mara focuses on playing her own songs. Célia Mara disrespectfully surfs between musical styles and rhythms, plays effortlessly with Retro-Brazil, Tango and traditional Afro-Brazilian grooves, mixes Nova MPB and Samba with Funk, Reggae, Balkan-folk, Glamour Rock and Hip Hop…
At the root of her music lies a marriage between Brazilian Music, Latino-folk, Funk and Viennese underground instrumental grooves. The lyrics, sung in Portuguese, English, German, Spanish and French, are urban poems that sing the voice of migrations and provide communication without any borders. Hmmm... One of my most favourite bands and labels featuring the 3 Titans: Khalil Jackson, Jorden Plaines, and Dallas Ifill. Three gifted fifth-graders with their sights set on higher education. On their debut 7 for Dunham/Daptone Records, C-O-L-L-E-G-E b/w Life of a Scholar, the precocious eleven-year-olds trade rhymes about the benefits of going to college and the determination it takes to get there over two sides of old-school, hard-as-nails beats provided by the notorious Menahan Street Band. That's exactly what we need!!! Rap with substance and motivation!! Please, give me more of that!!

First things first - Our dear friends Sweet Susie and Manni Montana founded a new "Live Band" called CONTACT to "once more" explore the experimental side of Dub. They will be performing their musical caleidoscope of Electronic and Dub there for the first time accompanied by endless Echochambers and the Deeeeepest Bassbeats you can imagine. An exclusive Teaser for their LP - to be released on La Place in 2011. Vocals by SaRa (Austrian Beatbox Female Champion 2006/07)

+++ Gary Clail is back - with new stuff after a more than ten year break. Curious about that. Supported by his sound technician Andy Chapman they are the "Nail It To The Mast" Soundsystem. Their performance @ Fluc will be a dance set mixture of Funk, Reggae and Dub.
