Just stumbeld upon this tutorial @ the fabulous instructables site. It shows a cheap way to build your own bullet-time rig. The project was developed by Graffiti Research Lab and director Dan the Man for his latest music video featuring rappers Styles P, AZ and the Large Professor.

Check out the tutorial:

video (to see the video in a better quality visit dantheman.tv)

was attacked by the Austrian FPÖ right wing party, to be a project, that only wants to show the nice side of live, from the slum, that they are censoring material which contains violence, and as an not named expert says, "this is like in a communist dictatorship". now also the City of Vienna, and the Austrian Development Agency, were accused that they finance such a "again communist notion" propagandist project and such FAKE ART! (text taken from email of slum-tv)

watch the video of the discussion at city council, listen to the definition of the project by dr. andreas mailath-pokorny and the ridiculous questions of mag. harald stefan (FPÖ), his definition of the word "censorship" and his opinion about the austrian government supporting a project with "no!!!" direct reference to austria and vienna.  (although it is the "following project" to an exhibition in nairobi last year, called economy class and an austrian-kenian project organized by austrian and kenian artists.) make yourself a picture and keep it in mind for the next elections. (sorry, the video is in german only, but slum-tv is workin on a translation for all you english speaking people out there).

dark acres banner

You don't know where to hide nowadays, dark acres are rising all over the world and show no signs of stopping yet. They're in your neighbors backyard, out on the streets, maybe even in your own closet wreaking havok and grabbing hold of what's left of your soul.... That's what pushed me to do this somewhat unordinary mixtape, exploring new grounds in my own musical universe: a deep down dark and dirty slow mix of all kinds of experimental hiphop crossing over to other genres.

So, without any further delay, here's the mix:

WEFUNK Radio - Canadian Radio broadcasting hiphop, funk & breaks since 1996 hosting a big web archive. here's a start: show 499 (WEFUNK digs into Ike Turner's rhythm & grit and serves up two choice cuts from Poland's little known funk era. Montreal's own Bank of Mount Real blesses us with an exclusive collabo track produced by the UK's Ghosttown, as well as a fresh 12" ("Monk Swing") from Andy William's new compilation "Variations in Time". Pete Rock & CL flip a classic Jackson 5 sample on "Appreciate".).

Back... Back Into Time...
DJ Static and Professor Groove began broadcasting WEFUNK to Montreal in 1996. The studio and airwaves of CKUT (McGill University) have been WEFUNK's home throughout our decade-plus on the air. After about 18 months doing late-night sessions, the show settled into Friday night party hours — midnight to 2am — in January 1998. Early that year we also began webcasting and archiving our shows online, and the world got their taste of the WEFUNK sound. iTunes started syndicating our radio stream in 2001, giving WEFUNK a lot more worldwide exposure. Since then we've been doin' our thing, searching out new grooves to make you move, recording hundreds more weekly shows and building up the website. Montreal's still bumpin' WEFUNK every Friday night on CKUT, and you can catch us 24/7 here on wefunkradio.com.

The Essence
WEFUNK celebrates a lineage of powerful, inspired music. The roots of soul, funk and rapping go back way further than the 70s, but something special began when James Brown gave the drummer some, Larry Graham hit the bass harder, Kool Herc gave the dancers breaks, DJ Hollywood worked the mic... and musicians worldwide found the funk seeping through their walls and into their music. Strong music gave a strong foundation to speak on social problems, relationships, politics and living conditions. And it made one hell of a party groove. Funk gave birth to hip-hop, and as the past grew into the present funk and hip-hop touched every modern music, leaving their mark—a swagger, a groove, mo' bounce... and something to twist your face and nod your head to. You know it when you hear it. And we play it on WEFUNK. (taken from wefunkradio.com)
