Brian de Palma (Scarface, Carlitos way, ...) made a new movie. It´s called "redacted" and it is the most provocativ anti-war propaganda out there so far.

A fictional documentary that shows nothing but the true face of war nowadays. De Palma has said that essentially everything he has put into "Redacted" can be found on the Internet: The director trawled the Web, examining pictures, videos and journal entries made by soldiers, looking at Islamic fundamentalist web sites and, perhaps most significantly, locating numerous photographs of Iraq war victims that would never show up in the mainstream press.

The film won the silver lion at the 2007 Biennale. Despite international honors the film caused a wave of protests in the us, where conservatis push for a ban of the movie.

Goodbye, Soulseduction

Die Nachricht über die Insolvenz des Wiener Vertriebs Soulseduction hat wie eine Bombe eingeschlagen: Der ohnehin kleine österreichische Musikmarkt verliert einen weiteren Player.

Die Soulseduction war unter anderem dafür zuständig, Platten von Labels wie G-Stone oder Klein Records international zu vertreiben. Umgekehrt haben sie dafür gesorgt, dass die Tonträger von Ninja Tune, BBE Music, uvm. bei uns in den Plattenläden erhältlich waren.

Diese Ära geht nun zu Ende.

Forward ever, backward never – eine abenteuerliche Reise durch die wunderbaren elektronischen Musikwelten. Good Vibration, eines der umtriebigsten und meist gebuchten Soundsysteme Österreichs, gibt sich bei einem Reggae/Dancehall/Grime/ Dubstep/Jungle/Tek Special im Tubeklub die Ehre. Inspiriert von der traditionellen, jamaikanischen Kultur betreiben die Jungs ein eigenes Soundsystem und machen mit „good vibrations“ ihrem Namen alle Ehre. Den Auftakt machen Tingltangl ls. Rollin, die erstmals in dieser Kombination zu sehen und zu hören sind. Seine von dunklen Sub-Bässen getragene Interpretation des Dub-Sounds gibt zu vorgerückter Stunde DJ Diaz zum Besten. Bei Monoloco vs. Yoko heißt es dann in alter Soundclash-Manier „Salzburg gegen Linz“. Audiopille rockt zum Abschluss das Haus mit Soundsystem Tekno aus Frankreich.
