Trippin again. This time our journey took us from Europe to Bangkok (mostly) by Train (some parts where no railway exists, we did by bus or boat...).

We started off in Russia, Mockba to be exact, where the big woodfires surrounded the whole town and the air was pretty sticky. Escapin this, we took the Trans Siberian Railway through Mongolia to Beijing. What a relaxed way to travel, six days on a train with some of the most beautiful landscapes, this earth has to offer, floatin by.

After 12 fine days in and around the smog dome of Beijing we had a 26 hour 4th class completly packed waggon fun ride to Chengdu (while planning this whole thing, we didnt notice, that we would arrive in Beijing during Student Holidays... this meant, all train tickets been sold out for about 12 days, and so only fourth class would be available. anyway, a nice way to experience the chinese soul first hand... :( )

In Chengdu, captital of the province Sichuan, we had a wonderful week at a guesthouse called "Sim“s cozy garden" (Highly recommended!). The fact that Tini celebrated her 25th earthday this week meant that we didnt see a lot of the city at daytime ;D .

Taking the train further down south, we went to the relaxed city of Kunming for a couple of days, drinking tea and partying with the local expat community, and then continued to the even more relaxed Jinghong, captial of the autonomous prefecture Xishuangbanna ("twelve thousand rice fields") for a little more than a week.

From Jinghong we continued our journey by boat down the Mekhong River through Laos and Burma to the very north of Thailand. The trip normally is a one day thing and should take 7 hours, but our boats engine decided otherwise. So the boat ride took 2 days...

Finally arriving in the north of Thailand, the golden triangle area to be exact, we continued via Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, each for a few days and then down to Bangkok (our beloved second home ;D ) for another month.

Much love to each and everybody we had the pleasure of meeting on this trip.
